बानगाव: बानगाव हा मतदारसंघ पश्चिम बंग राज्यात येतो. या मतदारसंघात भाजप ने Shantanu Thakur आणि तृणमूल कॉँग्रेसने Mamata Bala Thakur यांना निवडणुकीच्या रिंगणात उतरवले आहे. बानगावमध्ये पाचव्या टप्प्यात 6 मे रोजी मतदान झाले होते. 2014 च्या निवडणुकीत तृणमूल कॉँग्रेसचे Kapil Krishna Thakur 146601 मतांच्या फरकाने जिंकले होते. आणि भाकप चे Debesh Das 404612 मतांसह दुसऱ्या नंबरवर होते. या मतदारसंघात 83.32% लोकांनी मतदान केले होते. ज्यामध्ये 83.03% पुरुष आणि 83.62% महिला मतदारांचा समावेश होता. तसेच 9965 लोकांनी नोटाचा पर्याय निवडला होता.

बानगाव 2014 लोकसभा निवडणूक

बानगाव या लोकसभा मतदारसंघात 2014 साली झालेल्या निवडणुकीत लोकांनी भरभरून मतदान केले होते. या मतदारसंघात 1283688 मतदारांनी मतदान केले होते. त्यामध्ये 661484 पुरुष मतदार आणि 622204 महिला मतदारांचा समावेश होता. तसेच 9965 मतदारांनी नोटाचा वापर केला होता. बानगाव लोकसभा मतदारसंघात 12 उमेदवार उभे राहिले होते. त्यापैकी 8उमेदवारांचे डिपॉझिट जप्त झाले होते. 2014 च्या निवडणुकीत बानगाव लोकसभा मतदारसंघात लोकांनी तृणमूल कॉँग्रेसच्या Kapil Krishna Thakur यांच्यावर विश्वास दर्शवला होता. त्यांनी भाकपच्या Debesh Das यांचा 146601 मतांनी पराभव केला होता.

• 2009 लोकसभा निवडणूक : 15 व्या लोकसभा निवडणुकीत अखिल भारतीय तृणमूल कांग्रेसच्या उमेदवाराने भारतीय कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी उमेदवाराला हरवले होते. अखिल भारतीय तृणमूल कांग्रेसला 546596 आणि भारतीय कम्युनिस्ट पार्टीला 453770 मतं मिळाली होती.

Modi gets 'digital' gift from BJP on 69th birthday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi got a digital gift from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on his 69th birthday on Tuesday.

The gift is a digital compilation of Modi's journey so far divided into four chapters - Childhood, young NaMo, Modi and For the first time since Independence.

The childhood chapter recalls Modi's childhood acts of bravery like anecdotes how he swam across a lake infested with crocodiles to hoist a flag on a temple while he was aged just seven or eight.
