पंतप्रधान मोदींकडून अंदमानमधील 3 बेटांचं नामांतरण

पंतप्रधान झाल्यानंतर पहिल्यांदाच नरेंद्र मोदी अंदमान निकोबारच्या दौऱ्यावर आहेत. या दौऱ्यावर मोदींनी अंदमान निकाबारमधील तीन बेटांचे नामांतरण केले आहे.

पोर्ट ब्लेअर : पंतप्रधान झाल्यानंतर पहिल्यांदाच नरेंद्र मोदी अंदमान निकोबारच्या दौऱ्यावर आहेत. या दौऱ्यावर मोदींनी अंदमान निकाबारमधील तीन बेटांचे नामांतरण केले आहे. मोदींनी 'हॅवलॉक' बेटाचे 'स्वराज द्वीप', नील बेटाचे 'शहीद द्वीप' आणि 'रॉस' बेटाचे नामांतरण 'नेताजी सुभाषचंद्र द्वीप' असे केले आहे. नेताजी सुभाषचंद्र बोस यांच्या आझाद हिंद सेनेने इंग्रज सरकारविरोधात रणशिंग फुंकल्यानंतर 30 डिसेंबर 1943 रोजी अंदमान निकोबारमध्ये तिरंगा फडकवला. या घटनेला आज 75 वर्षे पूर्ण झाली त्यानिमत्ताने मोदींनी आज पोर्ट ब्लेअरला भेट दिली. यावेळी मोदींनी 150 फूट उंच झेंड्याचं ध्वजारोहण केले. आज पोर्ट ब्लेअरमध्ये पोहोचल्यानंतर नरेंद्र मोदींनी सर्वप्रथम 2004 च्या त्सुनामीत जीव गमावलेल्या लोकांना श्रद्धांजली वाहिली. त्यानंतर ते येथे आयोजित एका रॅलीत ते सहभागी झाले होते. त्यानंतर मोदींनी हॅवलॉक, नील आणि रॉस या बेटांने नामांतरण केले.
